In 2010, Sam’s Place Tavern decided that our loyal customers shouldn’t have to miss their favorite pre-game food because their favorite bar is off the University of Oregon campus. So we bought and refurbished a city bus and Sam’s Shuttle was born. Sam’s Shuttle has 23 wide comfortable seats, large windows, plenty of leg room.

Shuttle service to and from Autzen Stadium or Matthew Knight Arena is for all Sam’s Place patrons. All we ask for a ride is that you spend $10 at the bar before the game. The bus runs two times on each game day, two hours before the game and one hour before the game. That way you can make it to kickoff and have your Simple Sam burger and microbrew, too. Wine Tours
Winery tours are better when they start at Sam’s Place. Start with a wine tasting with some of the select wines from our wine cabinet. Then head out on Sam’s Shuttle to the Willamette Valley’s wine country to sample wines at local wineries like Sweet Cheeks and King Estates. Contact Jim at Sam’s Place to schedule your wine tour.
During the holiday season, we also offer Wine, Dine and Lights Night packages. Start the evening at the bar for dinner and a bottle of wine, and then head out on Sam’s Shuttle to tour Eugene’s Christmas light displays. Contact Sam’s Place for details.
Christmas Light Tours
Sam’s Shuttle is available between Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for Eugene Christmas light tours. Select your choice of a tour package option, either straight from the bar to the lights, or a dinner and wine special before or after the light portion of the evening. This shuttle option is great for date night or for the whole family, and perfect for work holiday parties. Rates vary based on the selected tour package.
Parties, Events & Concerts
Sam’s Shuttle also is available for bachelor or bachelorette parties. We’re happy also to shuttle wedding parties from their hotel to the wedding venue. For shuttle service to concerts in downtown Eugene, we just need at least 10 people on the bus. Grab a pre-dinner drink at Sam’s Place before heading out to downtown. Sam’s Shuttle is available to individuals, families, businesses, wedding parties, wine connoisseurs and bar crawlers who want to get their party started at Sam’s Place Tavern.
The shuttle is driven by a retired Lane Transit District Driver, Cheryl, and her expert driving skills will get you to and from the fun, safe and sound.
